in underrepresented and marginalized communities.
Through this collaboration, NMU and MSU will
spearhead efforts to develop and implement comprehensive coding and robotics programs, including
curriculum development and teacher training. Together, we aim to inspire a new generation of innovators and problem solvers,
bridging the technology gap and fostering sustainable development in Zimbabwe.
VEX COMPETITION
VEX IQ introduces younger students to basic robotics
concepts, while VEX offers more advanced engineering and programming challenges for older students.
VEX AI provides cutting edge, artificial intelligence-based robotics competitions for high school students. At WIT, we are pioneering these programs across Southern Africa.
Join us to compete, learn and grow in a vibrant community of future STEM leaders.
Worcester Institute of Technology (WIT) is at the forefront of pioneering VEX Robotics for V5
and VEX IQ in Southern Africa. Our mission is to inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators through hands-on,
engaging robotics competitions and educational programs.
1. VEX IQ (Ages 8-14)
VEX IQ is designed for younger students to explore STEM concepts through building and programming robots. The VEX IQ Challenge
allows students to compete in a fun and engaging environment, promoting teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity.
2. VEX V5 (Ages 11-18)
VEX V5 is tailored for older students, providing a more advanced platform for learning engineering principles and computer science skills. The VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) offers an exciting competitive
atmosphere where students can showcase their innovative solutions and strategic thinking.
Competitions: Our VEX Robotics programs culminate in thrilling competitions where teams design, build, and program
their robots to complete specific challenges. These competitions foster a spirit of collaboration, ingenuity, and resilience. Teams from across Southern Africa, come together to compete, learn, and grow.
Join the VEX Robotics movement and become part of a global community dedicated to advancing STEM education.
